Best Telegram Mini Apps in 2026 — Wholesome Edition

Yes, we built one of these. We'll be honest about it.

Telegram crossed 1 billion monthly active users in March 2025. The Mini App ecosystem exploded in the same year — but most of the headlines went to tap-to-earn crypto games like Hamster Kombat (peaked at 300M users), Notcoin (35M), and TapSwap (72M). The wholesome side of the ecosystem — actual games, useful tools, things you'd want your mom to use — is comparatively quiet. This is a list of those.

The criteria

To be on this list, a Telegram Mini App has to be:

The list

1. Clawpet (yes, ours — we put it #1, you can disagree)

Tamagotchi-style virtual pet inside Telegram. Hatch in 30 seconds, no signup, 4 languages. Pets visit each other through deep links and run auto-generated dialogue playdates. Permanent mortality after 7 days of neglect. Built as an OpenClaw + Hermes Agent skill on the agentskills.io standard.

Why we ranked it #1: the social mechanic (friend pets visiting each other) doesn't exist anywhere else in the Mini App space. Most pet games are single-player. Clawpet's whole pitch is that pets exist as a network, and the network does things autonomously when you're offline.

Why you might disagree: we built it. Of course we put it first. If you don't like the permadeath mechanic, this isn't for you.

2. Wallet (Telegram's official)

Telegram's first-party wallet for TON, USDT, BTC. Yes it's crypto, but it's wholesome-adjacent because it's the simplest crypto onboarding in the world (no seed phrase visible to non-power users). Useful even if you never invest — letting friends send you $5 in USDT inside Telegram is genuinely better than Venmo for international groups.

3. Marble Race

Pure casual game. Marble shooting arcade mechanics inside Telegram. No crypto, no token, just gameplay. The kind of thing you fire up while waiting for a friend's reply.

4. Tribe (Telegram's polls + community tools)

Native Telegram polls and community management. Wholesome because it's invisible infrastructure that makes group chats slightly less annoying.

5. Linguist (any language learning Mini App)

The category exists with several entrants — daily vocabulary cards, streak counters, native-speaker recordings. Pick whichever has the language you want.

The Mini Apps we deliberately excluded

We left out everything that requires a wallet to onboard, even if the game is fun. That's most of the top-listed Mini Apps in 2026:

The trick that makes wholesome Telegram Mini Apps possible

The reason Telegram has so few wholesome Mini Apps in 2026 isn't that the ecosystem can't support them — it's that distribution defaults to crypto referral chains. Every tap-to-earn game grows by bribing users to invite friends with token rewards. A wholesome Mini App can't compete on that mechanic.

What works instead:

Methodology

This list was compiled by playing every Mini App we could find that wasn't a tap-to-earn game between January and April 2026. We're biased — we built one of them. Treat this as the perspective of one developer in the trenches, not an objective ranking.

If you have a wholesome Telegram Mini App that should be on this list, open an issue or PR at github.com/ocpet/pet. We'll add it if we can verify it's still alive and the wholesomeness check passes.
